Vet Welcomed Home in Branson

BRANSON, Mo. – James Astrouski of Belleville, Ill. continues his tradition of traveling to Branson each year for the Veteran’s Day Parade.

Astrouski served in D Troop 1st Calvary and the 101st Airbourne in the Vietnam War, but he did not recieve the welcome he imagined.

He says his family has been coming to Branson for the last 30 years. The last few years they have been making a special trip for Veteran’s Day week.

This year marks the first year the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 organized the Veteran’s Day Parade.
