thumb_5268a98a1636371Minimum wage will increase by 15-cents to 7-dollars and 65-cents an hour in the State of Missouri beginning January 1st.

Federal minimum wage remains 7-dollars and 25-cents an hour. Missouri law requires the state minimum wage to meet or exceed the federal wage.

Missouri’s minimum wage rate is calculated once a year, and may increase or decrease based on the cost of living as measured by the previous year’s Consumer Price Index.

The Missouri Department of Labor announced the increase today (on Friday).

Compensation for tipped employees must also total 7-dollars and 65-cents an hour.
