During the summer of 2010, Taney County Detective Nina Welch was posing as a 13-year-old girl online and exchanging emails with 44-year-old Gerald Mogan of El Dorado Springs. According to county prosecutor Jeff Merrell, Mogan exposed himself to the detective via webcam several times in addition to asking for her to meet up for sexual relations.

Senior Judge Carr Woods finds Mogan guilty of the class D felony attempted misconduct with a child involving indecent exposure and attempted enticement of a child following a bench trial held on September 17. He is scheduled for sentencing on January 13 of next year.
