Teenagers Hurt in Golf Cart Accident

thumb_61f0ed89ca4e566Three teenagers are hurt in a golf cart accident on private property near Stonebridge, 2 miles east of Branson West.

State troopers report 18-year-old Cheryl Head of Kirbyville was driving the golf cart around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, when she lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, over-corrected, returned to the road and then overturned.

Head was taken by private vehicle to Cox Medical Center Branson for treatment of moderate injuries. Two passengers, 17-year-old Megan Goodin and 17-year-old Tabitha Hughes, both of Reeds Spring, were taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center Branson, also for treatment of moderate injuries.

Southern Stone County Fire Protection District and Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader also responded to the scene.
