Harrison Man Returns to Jail

thumb_55eed4b41661011HARRISON, Ark. – A Harrison man is behind bars after he escaped from Boone County authorities in May.

Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore says 43-year-old Scottie Flippo is in police custody after eluding investigators for nearly six months.

He was originally arrested in July 2013 after an undercover investigator, posing as a 14-year-old girl during an internet sting operation, found Flippo allegedly attempting to set-up a sexual encounter. He was sentenced to six years in prison alongside two concurrent Boone County sentences for drug cases.

He was allowed to attend a graduation at Harrison High School on May 18 as part of a plea agreement but never returned to jail. The Boone County Sheriff’s office identified Flippo as an absconder two days later.

According to a report, Flippo was arrested in a parking lot near Highway 392 earlier this week but didn’t comment on the details of the capture.
