Springfield Shooting Investigated as Homicide

thumb_31281496a7e172bSPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Police officers are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Springfield yesterday morning in the 300 block of East Cherokee Street.

According to a report, 33-year-old Matthew Cline died in a Springfield hospital after he was dropped off by another man. Police say the shooting transpired around 5 a.m.

Investigators found evidence of gunshots at two residences near Cline’s home at 309 East Cherokee. Police say they have no further details to release at this time.
