A man from Hollister is sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.
Judge Carr Woods, acting as Taney County Circuit Court Judge, sentenced 41-year-old Brian Bick after hearing arguments from both the defense and the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office. Bick received two 7-year sentences that will run concurrently.
Bick was arrested by Branson Police following a citizen complaint of possible drunk driving in July of 2013. His car was parked in the middle of the street, and Bick was reportedly in semi-conscious condition when officers arrived. His blood-alcohol content was found to be approximately 3 times over the legal limit.
Bick’s license was revoked at the time of the arrest. He was charged as a persistent DWI offender, as he had 2 or more intoxication-related traffic offenses.
