Thousands of dollars worth of tools and equipment are missing from the Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department following an apparent burglary Monday night.

May estimates a cost of between 10 and 15-thousand dollars to replace the stolen items. It’s a big loss for the rural fire department, which is supported largely by donations.
May says the thieves gained access to the building by either jamming the front door, or entering the correct key pad code.
