HARRISON, Ark. – Harrison native and Arkansas Razorback legend Brandon Burlsworth is nominated for the College Football Hall of Fame as announced this week by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
Burlsworth played for the Harrison Goblins until graduating in 1994 and took his talents to Fayetteville as a walk-on for the Hogs.
He was named an All-American in 1998 and led one of the most productive offenses in Arkansas history. He was killed in a car crash in Alpena in 1999, just weeks after being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts.
He joins former Razorback football coach Danny Ford who will appear on the 2015 Hall of Fame ballot.
