AVA, Mo. – A woman from Ava is injured after her pickup hits a deer this morning in Douglas County.
According to state troopers, 34-year-old Brittany Huff was southbound on Highway 5 around 5:30 a.m. when the truck hit a deer in the roadway about five miles south of Ava.
She is listed with minor injuries in the crash but refused treatment at the scene, according to the accident report.
