Searcy Co. Deputy Identified in Shooting

thumb_759fab452375c4dLESLIE, Ark. – The deputy who was shot last week at a bakery in Leslie is now identified as Lang Holland, according to the Searcy County Sheriff’s Department.

According to Sheriff Donald Ragland, Deputy Holland has been released from the hospital and is now recovering at his home.

Police say 75-year-old John Kolata shot and injured Holland when they exchange gun shots at Serenity Farm Bread last Friday. According to Ragland, Kolata remains in critical condition.

He says the shooting is an on-going investigation and authorities are working to determine what led to the shootout.
