SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Officials with the Springfield Fire Department are investigating a string of fires over the weekend that is believed to be arson.
Four fires were set around 11:30 Saturday night all in the same neighborhood in west Springfield, according to Fire Marshal Bill Spence, who says the fires were set just minutes apart from each other.
Spence says the buildings targeted were sheds or garages that weren’t attached to residences. He estimates around 25-thousdand dollars’ worth of damage in the fires. No arrests have been made in the incident.
