Conservation Commission Approves Deer Regs

thumb_5509321a010eddeMISSOURI – The Missouri Department of Conservation Commission approves stricter regulations for deer ranchers in attempt to slow down the spread of disease.

The regulation includes a ban on imported deer from other states as well as required testing for chronic wasting disease on deer for deer that die in captivity for at least six months.

Existing deer farms and hunting preserves have until June 30 of 2016 to meet new guidelines, otherwise the rules will take effect January 30.
