White River State Park Named Park of the Year

thumb_9572a04294c3a2bThe Bull Shoals – White River State Park is named the Region 2 Park of the Year and the Overall Park of the Year by the State of Arkansas.

State Parks Director Greg Butts says a number of factors go into selecting the award winners, including visitor comments, maintenance, budget management and revenue production. He praises Park Superintendent Tracy King and the entire staff for their outstanding work and accomplishments.

Revenues from camping at Bull Shoals – White River State Park increased by nearly 3-percent to 393-thousand dollars in fiscal year 2013, and total park expenses were reduced by nearly 4-percent below the approved budget.
