BRANSON, Mo. – According to Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Jason Pace, 68-year-old Hubert Barnes and 66-year-old Diane Barnes were coming in for a landing around 6:30 p.m. when their 2010 single engine aircraft lost control and crashed into their garage near their home located on Noland Road.
Pace says the couple were transported by ambulance to a Springfield hospital where they are listed in serious condition.
Pace identified the aircraft as a Hughes Aero Corp Predator powered by a parachute and a single two-cycle engine that seats two people.
He says the Barnes frequently take off and land from their home using the aircraft. NTSB officials are investigating the incident.
