Loyd to Chair Cox Branson Board of Directors

thumb_fc199774739a14fLocal businessman Phillip Loyd is elected to serve as chairman of the Cox Medical Center Branson Board of Directors.

Loyd began his service to the hospital in 1987 when he was asked to serve as a trustee for Skaggs Community Hospital Association. Loyd was elected to the Board of Directors in 1994, and served as chairman from 2001 to 2003.

Loyd is president of his family’s business entities – Loyd’s Electric Supply, Inc., Lighthouse Gallery, and Theatrical Lighting Concepts.

Along with Loyd’s election to chairman this fall, Robert “Bob” McDowell, of McDowell Consulting LLC, was named vice chairman of the board and Branson Mayor Raeanne Presley, of Presley’s Country Jubilee Theater, was elected secretary of the board.

Larry Schmitt, of The Track Family Fun Parks, will continue his service as board treasurer.

New members to the board include Bob Cox, of The Harbor, and Dr. Doug Hayter, of Branson Public Schools.

Other board members include: Dr. Richard “Rick” Blubaugh, Cox Medical Center Branson; Dr. John Duff, CoxHealth senior vice president; Steve Edwards, CoxHealth president and CEO; Jake McWay, CoxHealth senior vice president and chief financial officer;

Dennis Newkirk, Newkirk & Company; Bob Simmons, Table Rock Asphalt; Dr. Anthony “Tony” Wheeler, Cox Medical Center Branson; Dr. Holly Wherry, Cox Medical Center Branson; and Janice Williams, College of the Ozarks.
