
A man charged in the stabbing death of 15-year-old Joey Phillips-Clay of Nixa waives his preliminary hearing and is bound over for arraignment in Christian County Circuit Court.
Twenty-one-year-old Jesus Padilla of Nixa is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is scheduled to appear in court again October 24th.
Padilla was arrested August 7th after authorities responded to the Pheasant Run Apartments on a report of a stabbing. Police say Phillips-Clay was stabbed in the throat. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
