Local Dairy Queens Involved in Cyber Hack

thumb_702b7a294b07152Three area Dairy Queen stores are among the 350 nationwide reportedly affected by a data breach in the store’s payment systems.

According to International Dairy Queen, Inc., stores located in Branson, Springfield, and Mountain Home are involved in a data breach where hackers tapped into the company’s system, leaving customer’s names, credit and debit card information.

According to a news release, the Missouri stores were affected from August 2 through the 31 – the Mountain Home stores is reportedly affected from August 2 through October 2. The company says it “has no evidence that other customer personal information such as Social Security numbers, PIN numbers, or email addresses were compromised” in the breach. The company went on to say “based on our investigation, we are confident that this malware has been contained.”
