A man from Branson is sentenced to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated.

Forty-four-year-old James Staudacher was charged as a chronic DWI offender as he had 4 or more intoxication-related traffic convictions prior to his arrest by Branson police in August of 2013.

At that time, police found a bottle of bourbon is Staudacher’s vehicle and determined his blood alcohol content to be over twice the legal limit.

According to Taney County Prosecutor Jeff Merrell, Staudacher was in custody on another case at the time of his guilty plea.
