BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Berryville’s homecoming event last Friday night will always be a very special night for who Berryville High School believes to be a very special girl.

Berryville’s senior class decided to elect 18-year-old Hali Braziel of Berryville as this year’s homecoming queen, not because of her unidentified syndrome, but because of her impact on their lives. Hayley Hill is one of those affected by Braziel.

Braziel’s mom, Donna Braziel, says the family now calls Hali’s condition the “Hali-syndrome.” Donna and the rest of the Braziel family were able to witness Hali’s special night in the spot light.

Berryville students honored all of the 2014 nominees before the homecoming football game.
