The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks is a non-profit youth development organization that is dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, positive self-esteem, and accomplishment in all kids. Club membership is open to all kids ages 6-18, and membership dues are just $30 per school year. No child is ever turned away for financial reasons.
The Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis Club wanted to make a difference in the lives of area children and did a fundraiser with the proceeds going to the local clubs.
On Thursday, August 28, the Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis members held a mini-golf fundraiser with the proceeds going to the clubs. Thanks to the Corporate Sponsors – Mercy, Bank of Missouri, White River Electric Cooperative & Ozark Mountain Bank – along with the teams that played, they were able to write a $1,000 check to the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks.
“We are very proud to partner with the Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis to support our local kids and families”, Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks CEO, Billy Rader said. “I know both organizations share the vision that through community support and quality programs, we can change lives. We appreciate the members of the Kiwanis and their supporters for investing in our kids and our community.”
“Our club selected the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks as our quarterly partner,” Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis Club President Cory Ross said. “Our members were impressed by the fact that the Boys & Girls Club provides so many services to the youth in our area and it is only $30 per school year for the family to pay. We hope this donation will help them as they fund their worthwhile programs.”
Kiwanis is a global organization of member-volunteers who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis meets each Tuesday at noon at Golden Corral at 3551 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway in Branson.
