Hollister Man Arrested on Drug Charges

thumb_2a5620f9d444800FORSYTH, Mo. – A man from Hollister is in the Taney County Jail following his arrest earlier this morning.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the arrest of 32-year-old Michael Bowman who faces several drug charges.

According to the arrest report, Bowman was arrested just after midnight this morning and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked license, failure to register a motor vehicle, no proof of insurance, and failure to wear a seat belt.

According to online court records, Bowman served five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after he was found guilty of first-degree property damage in 2003. In 2007, he entered an Alford Plea to second-degree domestic assault, and was charged with first-degree robbery in 2013. The robbery trial is still on-going.
