BRANSON, Mo. – Branson businesses are facing a possible smoking ban and a Springfield restaurant can relate to a smoke-free transition.
Mark Elms, a manager at the Outback Steak House located in Springfield, says even with the smoking ban, customers still are coming to the restaurant.

The Springfield Clean Air Ordinance took effect in June of 2011. It does not allow smoking indoors in any public places or within a specified distance from entrances to public areas — similar to Branson’s proposed ordinance on smoking.
The first reading of Branson’s smoke-free bill is scheduled for October 14th.
