FORSYTH, Mo. – The 33-year-old suspect who allegedly robbed a Family Pharmacy at gunpoint is identified as Gregory Johnson of Branson who is charged with three felonies by Taney County Prosecutor Jeff Merrell.
Johnson is charged with a Class A Felony Pharmacy Robbery, Felony Armed Criminal Action, and a Class C Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
According to Taney County Sheriff Jimmie Russell, Johnson allegedly pointed a handgun at an employee of Family Pharmacy on Cross Creek Boulevard in Branson and demanded pills. The employee was armed and fired a single shot at Johnson who reportedly fired several shots as he fled the scene.
Deputies pulled over the suspect’s vehicle at the Academy Commons Apartment Complex on East Highway 76 and discovered the man had a visible gunshot wound in his left torso. He was taken to a local hospital and was later transported to the Taney County Jail where he remains without bond.
A female passenger was taken into custody at the time of the arrest and has since been released.
