Child Abuse Case Moves to MO Supreme Court

thumb_c2eadf106f7fa55SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Springfield man suspected of child abuse will appear before the Missouri Supreme Court this week.

Fifty-year-old Peter Hanson is appealing a 2011 ruling which found him guilty of locking his child in a bathroom for several days as punishment.

According to Hanson, a Seventh Day Adventist, his religion encourages vegetarianism and doesn’t consider that punishment to be child abuse.
