Governor Jay Nixon has appointed Peggy Lea Taylor of Nixa to the Missouri Charter Public Schools Commission. Created by statute, the commission has the authority to sponsor high-quality charter schools throughout the state.
Taylor is the retired owner of Dogwood Printing Inc. of Ozark, which she co-owned for 27 years. She is a past president of the Missouri School Boards Association, and a past president of the Nixa School Board.
Taylor’s appointed term on the commission runs through September 17th, 2018.
