MISSOURI – Governor Jay Nixon signs an executive order yesterday creating a new state agency regarding poverty and minority issues in the Show-Me State.
Nixon says the Office of Community Engagement will be responsible for assisting in the development of policies and strategies to foster greater prosperity and opportunity for all Missourians.
Under the executive order, the new agency will be housed under the Office of Administration. Former State Senator Maida Coleman is appointed by the governor as the officer’s director.
