The alleged poisoning of stray cats in Stone County is causing a stir as residents of the White Eagle Woods mobile home park on Double-O Highway report receiving a letter from management asking them to put out trays of antifreeze for the cats to consume.

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office confirms at least 2 dead cats were found on the property when deputies responded to a complaint.
Reeds Spring City Administrator Bill Bell says there’s been some confusion about the location of the park, and the city’s responsibility in the matter…

Sheriff Doug Rader says his office is working with the Humane Society to resolve the issue. Stone County does not have an animal control officer.
