Study Shows Decline in Deer Collisions

thumb_65d7ce90fb0ff60MISSOURI – Missouri drivers are nearly eight percent less likely to hit a deer this year than they were last year, according to new data from State Farm Insurance.

According to the study, the odds of a hitting a deer in the Show-Me state are 1 out of 124 – the national odds are 1 out of 169.

The study says Missouri ranks 18th nationally for the most deer collisions. West Virginia ranks first with a 1 in 39 chance of hitting a deer while on the roadway.
