The school district has been public about its need for a new junior high, and Superintendent Dr. Mendy Moss says she is pleased with the results on election night:

Dr. Moss says the district plans to move the 9th grade into the high school and take the 7th and 8th grades to the middle school location.

The measure passed by a vote of 1,729 to 1,439 – those results won’t be official until certified by the Boone County Election Committee on Monday morning.
