HARRISON, Ark. – A 4.9 millage increase for the Harrison School District passes by a vote of 1,729 to 1,439.
The school district asked voters for the tax increase to help renovate the district’s aging junior high. The district also would like to construct a new gymnasium which would also serve as a fine arts center.
The results are unofficial until certified by the Boone County Election Committee which will meet next Monday.
