A Man Charged from Springfield Shooting

thumb_300711078bba70eSPRINGFIELD,Mo.-A man is charged with unlawful use of a weapon from a shooting incident in Springfield.

According to a report, last Wednesday, a Craigslist business deal involving stereo speakers, turned into a high speed chase after the buyer allegedly took the speakers from the sellers. The seller was Robert A. Brown and his son.

Robert Brown reportedly chased after the buyer in his vehicle. Brown told officials he had fired a gun while in pursuit to try to flatten the other vehicle’s tires. He also admitted he disposed of the gun in some bushes near the street.

Brown was taken into custody and could be facing up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

According to the report, prosecutors believe Brown is a threat to the public and have asked for a 15 thousand dollar bound.

Police have not commented on the alleged thief.
