Three Questioned for Gun Discharge at Central High

thumb_62d734837f0ff09SPRINGFIELD,Mo.-The investigation for the gun going off at Central High School in Springfield is still underway.

Three students were brought into custody after a backpack containing a hand gun fell from a balcony into a commons area causing the gun to discharge, Friday afternoon.

According to a report two of the suspects were released however the third is still in custody and may face criminal charges.

A letter the school sent to the parents Friday afternoon, officials do not believe there are any threats to the school or any individuals on premises.

The Springfield Police Department says that the suspects are all 17-years or older and will have their names released if any charges are filed.
