The event includes cooking demonstrations, a backyard burger brawl, cardboard boat races and children’s activities, in addition to the barbecue cook-off, which includes public taste testing.

Boats and Bones gets underway at noon on Saturday. Tickets are 5-dollars, with children age 5 and under admitted for free. Proceeds benefit the Relay For Life of Taney and Stone Counties.
The event continues Sunday with another cook-off sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, also at The Port of Kimberling.
