Two Injured in Stone Co. Crash

thumb_353e974c9ed40dfGALENA, Mo. – Two people are injured in a single vehicle accident on Bass Hollow Road about seven miles northeast of Galena last night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol’s accident report, 26-year-old Heather Jones of Hollister was westbound when her passenger was “injured after jumping and/or being pushed from the vehicle.” He is identified as 51-year-old Dru Preater of Branson, who was taken to Cox Medical Center Branson for moderate injuries.

A second accident report shows the driver continued westbound on Bass Hollow Road when her car traveled off the roadway, struck several trees, and ejected the driver. According to the incident report, she was not wearing a seat belt. The driver was transported to Cox South in Springfield for serious injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
