According to Taney County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Merrell, Barrows was pulled over by a state trooper in December 2010, after the officer noticed a broken headlamp and taillight. Barrows insisted he wasn’t driving but rather eating chicken. The officer reports the man used profanity, slurred his speech, and exhibited a strong odor of intoxicants. Barrows refused all sobriety tests, according to a statement.
Barrows has a prior history of intoxication-related traffic convictions, therefor he is charged with a Class B felony for being a “chronic” DWI offender.
