Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says his office has received payment from former Lt. Governor Mark Darr for 10-thousand 973 dollars – the amount identified by the Division of Legislative Audit for collection by McDaniel.
Darr provided a check for the entire amount today (on Thursday), resolving the matter without a need for litigation, according to McDaniel.
Darr resigned from office in February amidst the threat of impeachment due to ethical violations found by the Arkansas Ethics Commission.
The investigation revealed Darr used campaign funds for personal use and violated the state’s campaign code a total of 11 times while in office.
