thumb_4730837ef3b7712LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas State Ethics Commission cautions Congressman John Burris of Harrison for failing to disclose financial information to the state.

The state representative was the subject of an ethics complaint filed by two Arkansas residents including David Geier of Harrison. The complaint was filed during Burris’ campaign for State Senate which Burris lost to Scott Flippo of Mountain Home.

According to a report, the ethics commission found Burris unintentionally violated state law by failing to disclose his state retirement account in 2010 and his personal checking account on reports from 2010 to 2013. The commission dismissed the complaint alleging Burris lived in Little Rock and not in Harrison. Burris addressed the allegations saying he owns a home in Harrison and bought a house in Little Rock as an investment.
