September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. American Red Cross identifies the disease an inherited blood disease that affects thousands of people including in the area that in many cases need transfusions on a regular basis.
The Red Cross will be hosting blood drives in Christian and Barry Counties in hopes to maintain a diverse blood supply especially for those who suffer from sickle cell disease.
Each donor for the month of September will receive a coupon for a free haircut at participating Sports Clips.

September 11th from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30p.m. at Ozarks Technical Community College on Jackson Road in Nixa.
September 9th at Georges Inc in Cassville from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
