The Branson/Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will continue providing marketing administrative services for the Tourism Community Enhancement District. This after the district completed a Request for Proposal process this summer, in which 15 organizations indicated interest.
A news release from the TCED points out that 6 potential bidders attended a pre-proposal conference in June, with only 3 written proposals submitted prior to the July 11th deadline.
TCED Board Member Michelle Herzan says the RFP process was extensive and fairly implemented. She says it became obvious to task force members that the only organization with the scope and depth of expertise and services to complete destination marketing implementation is the Branson CVB.
Contract negotiations are underway, with the new contract taking affect January 1st.
