8 Injured in Barry Co. Crash

thumb_51da18799267751MIDWAY, Mo. – Eight people are hurt in a two vehicle crash on Highway 37 in Barry County last night.

According to state troopers, 46-year-old Christina Jennings of Verona was stopped on 37 in Midway and then pulled into the path of an oncoming pickup. That vehicle was driven by 36-year-old Clinton Tankersley of Andover, Kan.

Jennings and her two passengers, 5-year-old Grace Gass and 10-year-old Shelby Jennings both from Verona were transported to Cox South in Springfield. Both children are listed with minor injuries, while the driver is listed with moderate injuries. According to the accident report, she was not wearing a seat belt.

Tankersley and his passengers, 4-year-old Hudson Tankersely and 10-year-old Grayce Tankersley, were all taken to Cox Hospital in Monett for minor injuries. Two other passengers in the pickup, 11-year-old Garrett Tankersley and 46-year-old Monica Cline were taken to Cox South in Springfield for minor and moderate injuries respectively.
