Two former employees of the Taney County Jail receive suspended sentences of 5 years supervised probation after pleading guilty to sexual contact with a prisoner.
Twenty-three-year-old Chad Brewer and 22-year-old Corey Ridings were fired from the sheriff’s office last May.
According to a probable cause statement, Brewer inappropriately touched a female prisoner and Ridings engaged in sexual intercourse with a female prisoner.
The contact was not forced, and involved the same inmate on several occasions, according to the statement.
Ridings, of Bradleyville, was originally charged with 4 counts, but his charges were reduced to a single count of sexual contact with a prisoner.
In addition to supervised probation, Ridings is ordered to complete 100 hours of community service.
