Former Jailers Receive Probation

Two former employees of the Taney County Jail receive suspended sentences of 5 years supervised probation after pleading guilty to sexual contact with a prisoner. Twenty-three-year-old Chad Brewer and 22-year-old Corey Ridings were fired from the sheriff’s office last May. Heat Advisory Continues

BRANSON, Mo. – The heat advisory issued on Friday will continue through this evening, according to the National Weather Service in Springfield. Meteorologist Drew Albert says the silver lining with the unseasonably hot temperatures is the low humidity: Albert says the heat advisory is extended until 7 p.m. tonight.
