The Lakes Area High School Football Teams get their 2014 Seasons underway tonight with all three being led by new Head Coaches.

Branson at Springfield Central
The Pirates will play a game for the first time since 1985 without Steve Hancock as their Head Coach, as Hancock stepped down after last season to take the job at Springfield Catholic. Dan Henderson takes over the Pirate Program after stints at both Mount Vernon and School of the Osage. Henderson has won 155 games in his career and will match-up with another first year Head Coach as the Bulldogs are guided by Lorenzo Williams, former Missouri Tiger Football Player who also played in the NFL. Williams moves up after being an assistant the last two seasons. The Pirates were 5-6 last season while the Bulldogs finished 2-8.

Hollister at Houston
Former Branson High School and Evangel University Player Jacob Hamon moves up from an assistant position to take over for Kevin Roepke in guiding the Tigers in their fifth season of Varsity Football. Hamon, along with Assistant Coach Mark Vert, are the only two coaches to be with the program since the start of the Junior Varsity Program seven years ago. The Tigers are coming off a 2-8 season as the program picked up their first wins since their first Varsity Season in 2010.

Willow Springs at Reeds Spring
The change at the top of the Wolves Program was more of a swap as Defensive Coordinator Lance Gosch is now the Head Coach while Brian Moler is still on the staff as an Assistant and Offensive Coordinator. The change came to allow Moler more time to focus on his new position as Assistant High School Principal. The Wolves are coming off one of their best seasons, finsihing 9-2 and winning the Regular Season District Title in 2013.

All three games will air on Earls Family Broadcasting tonight and will be streamed live on Hometown Daily News.com.

The Branson-Central game will be on 106.3 KRZK with Willow Springs-Reeds Spring on MY 100.1 and Hollister at Houston on AM 1220 KOMC. Due to the excessive heat, the Branson-Central Kick-off is at 7:30 with the other games remaining at the normal 7:00 kick-off.
