Minimum Wage Proposal Verified this Week

thumb_f4bf6361ba2a759LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Secretary of State’s Office begins verifying signatures on a petition to raise minimum wage this week.

According to a report, more than 69-thousand signatures made the petition – about 7-thousand more than the minimum necessary to appear on the November ballot.

The proposal would raise minimum wage in Arkansas to $7.50 next year, $8.00 in 2016, and $8.50 in 2017.
