Marion Co. Man Arrested for Burglary

thumb_dddeacffc1bde45YELLVILLE — A Marion County man faces charges after authorities tracked his monitoring bracelet to a house that he allegedly robbed 13 times, according to Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers.

Forty-two-year-old Matthew Williams of Summit faces charges as a habitual offender of 13 counts of residential burglary, criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing.

Sheriff Vickers says a resident reported the vacant house had been burglarized with 25-thousand dollars worth of property stolen and 10-thousand dollars worth of damage sustained to the house.

Deputies discovered Williams had been at the residence on 13 different occasions by tracking his monitoring bracelet; they also learned he sold some of the property at a local pawn shop.

Flippin Police officers and Marion County Deputies arrested Williams at his residence without incident. According to the press release, officials located some of the stolen property as well as “other evidence of theft.”

His bond was set at 25-thousand dollars and he is also being held at the Marion County Jail without bond for a parole violation, according to the release.
