Fatal Crash on Hwy 65

5BRANSON, Mo. – A Tennessee man riding a scooter is killed in a two vehicle collision last (Monday) night on Highway 65 north of Branson.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Joshua Wood of Big Sandy, Tennessee was traveling on a scooter heading southbound on Highway 65 at a reduced speed. Thirty-seven-year-old Christopher Behn of Kirbyville was heading southbound as well when his vehicle struck Wood from behind.

Wood was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Coroner Kevin Tweedy and was taken to Snapp Bearden Funeral Home in Branson.

Behn reportedly is uninjured.

This is the 63rd fatality for Troop D in 2014.
