Dogpatch Sells to Inventor for $2-Million

thumb_b34e0ee354081b6Dogpatch, the former theme park property near Jasper in Newton County, Arkansas, is sold for 2-million dollars to inventor Charles Pelsor.

Pelsor’s company, Great American Spillproof Products of Lexington, Indiana, manufactures the “Buddy Bowl”, a spill-proof and splash-proof pet water bowl.

According to a report, Pelsor says he wants to turn the 400-acre Dogpatch property into an environmental destination, including a restaurant and a creek stocked with trout and freshwater mussels.

Dogpatch opened in the late 1960s and was themed on the Lil Abner comic strip. It closed to the public in 1993.
