BAXTER CO.- Baxter County Officials are looking for a suspect that fled from a patrol vehicle on Hwy 126 Saturday afternoon.
According to a report, a deputy arrested 42-year-old Brandi Vanamburg because of outstanding warrants including revocation of suspended sentence and contempt of court. The deputy reportedly retrieved some of the suspect’s personal belongs at her request. When the deputy returned to the patrol car, Vanamburg had escaped through the back window she had rolled down even though she was wearing handcuffs.
An eye witness told officials that a woman matching Vanamburg’s description emerged from the woods and climbed on the back of a motorcycle that had stopped for her. The motorcycle then headed north on Hwy 126.
Vanamberg is is decribed as a white female, five feet five inches, one hundred and twenty-five pounds, with dark hair. She was last seen in blue jean shorts, a white t-shirt, grey tennis shoes, and her hair pulled back.
She is believed to be under the influence of controlled substance however is not believed to pose a danger to anyone else.
