Six Hurt in Purdy Car Crash

thumb_8c22d4db78d5e0aPURDY, Mo. – Three women and three teenagers are injured in a three vehicle crash on Highway 37 in Purdy last night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol’s accident report, 16-year-old Ashton Young of Monett was traveling westbound on 37 when her car crossed paths with another car driven by 48-year-old Dawna Headgepath of Eagle Rock. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle driven by Young to hit a stopped car driven by 47-year-old Linda Killion of Wheaton.

Young and her passenger 16-year-old Andrea Hunphrey, of Monett, and Killion and her passenger, 15-year-old Emily Killion, of Wheaton, are listed with minor injuries and chose to seek their own treatment, according to the report. Headgepath and her passenger, 69-year-old Viola Boggs, of Eagle Rock, were taken to Cox Hospital in Monett, and are listed with moderate injuries.
